What Paideia students say

Last update: October 11, 2007 - 7:40 PM

ALEX BAWDEN, 6TH GRADE, ROSEMOUNT

I came to [Paideia] because I wanted to see what it was like to have longer breaks more often. I like it, but my [neighborhood] friends laugh at me in the summer when I get home from school. I probably forget science over the summer break more than anything else.

MADELEINE BRYLSKI, 4TH GRADE, APPLE VALLEY

My parents wanted me to go here because they liked the schedule better. I like it because there's a long winter break and I get to play more in the snow, although sometimes it's kind of hard to schedule play dates. ... Over summer, I forget more math than everything else. One thing I don't like is that I wanted to go to a summer music camp and basketball camp but I couldn't go.

LAUREN JACKSON, 6TH GRADE, ROSEMOUNT

I wasn't so fond of the idea [of year-round school] at first. It's kind of sad because you don't get to see your friends from other schools that often. But once you get here, you realize that you can make friends from this school. Summer gets kind of boring in August, anyway. I like how we don't have to re-cover subjects that we already know.
