Anoka County will offer free assistance Monday to senior citizens and people with disabilities in applying for the mobile home Minnesota Property Tax Refund (Form M1PR). The session will be held at Hilltop City Hall, 4555 Jackson St. NE., Hilltop. Appointments are not necessary.

Anoka Parks offers programs for paddlersAnoka County Parks has a number of paddling programs for all skill levels. Pre-registration is required at www.anokacountyparks.com or by calling 651-429-8007.
One program offers a chance to paddle a 30-foot Thompson-style Voyageur canoe on the Mississippi River. The boat, a replica of the birch-bark canoes used by fur traders 200 years ago, holds up to 15 paddlers. The fee is $7 and the event is scheduled for July 24, from 12-2 p.m., at Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park, Coon Rapids.
Introductory and advanced kayak classes also are being offered. Fee per person is $25. Call for times and locations

Residents of Anoka, Hennepin, Ramsey, Carver, Dakota and Washington counties can drop off unwanted materials at Ben Franklin Road and Hwy. 96 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays during July.
Some of the accepted materials include paint, oil cleaner, pesticides and propane tanks, and there's much more.

The Robbinsdale School District is seeking applicants for its Financial Advisory Council. Created in 2008, the council provides financial advice and support to the school board and senior administrators. It is responsible for evaluating the district's economic status and it helps in formulating future budgets.
The council meets at least four times a year, and is made up of six community members, the school board treasurer, the district's executive director of business services and Superintendent Aldo Sicoli. Member terms are three years.

Osseo schools, in cooperation with the Northwest Hennepin Family Services Collaborative, will offer eligible area students two immunization clinics later this summer.
They will be held:
• 9:30-11 a.m. Aug. 25 in the nurse's office at Brooklyn Junior High, 7377 Noble Av. N., Brooklyn Park;
• 3-6 p.m. Aug. 26, in the cafeteria of North View Junior High, 5869 69th Av. N., Brooklyn Park.
Appointments are not necessary, and the clinics are open to Osseo district students ...
• who do not have health insurance or whose insurance does not cover the cost of immunizations;
• or who qualify for Minnesota Vaccines for Families and Children (MNVFC),
• or who are enrolled in a Minnesota Health Care Program such as GMAC, MA, MnCare, PMAP.
