ANDOVER

MAY 16

Theft. A vehicle was reported stolen from the driveway of a home in the 1000 block of 161st Lane NW. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys and a purse were inside it.

COON RAPIDS

MAY 12

Theft. Police were called to the 300 block of 111th Lane NW. regarding a vehicle that had crashed into a tree. Officers ran a check on the vehicle and contacted the owner, who said the vehicle had been stolen. The owner of the vehicle said he had left it in his garage, with the keys in the vehicle and the garage door open.

MAY 13

Property damage and theft. Police were called to the parking lot of Holiday Inn Express, 9333 Springbrook Drive NW., regarding numerous property damage and theft reports. Seventeen vehicles had been broken into and items had been stolen from all of the vehicles.

MAY 15

Disorderly conduct. Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct at a home in the 10300 block of Xavis Street NW. According to police reports, the original callers told police they were sitting at a recreational fire in their backyard when a man appeared at their fence and told them to put out the fire. One of the men said he started walking toward the suspect, who pulled out a fire extinguisher and sprayed it in his face. The suspect denied any involvement when questioned by police. Several people reportedly witnessed the incident, however, and the suspect was mailed a citation for disorderly conduct.

MAY 16

Theft. A canoe was stolen from the back yard of a home in the 2900 block of 132nd Avenue NW.

CRYSTAL

MAY 13

Theft. Someone stole a 15-pound bag of cat litter from a vehicle in the 4500 block of Douglas Drive N.

MAY 14

Theft. Someone stole a carved wooden bear from the yard of a home in the 20700 block of Austin Street NE.

FRIDLEY

MAY 11

Burglary. Two computers and a pistol were reported stolen from a home in the 5700 block of Jefferson Street NE. A television and a computer also were reported stolen from another home on the same block.

MAY 14

Welfare check. Officers were called to check the welfare of a man passed out on a bus bench at East River Road NE. and Osborne Road NE. The suspect was located and told police he had missed his bus and had to wait another hour for the next one, so he fell asleep.

MAY 18

Disorderly conduct. Police responded to a call about a disorderly man at Pawn America, 789 53rd Av. NE. According to police reports, the man was intoxicated and told an employee that he had just killed his wife. The 52-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct, but police found that he lives alone and does not have a wife or a girlfriend.

MOUNDS VIEW

MAY 12

Burglary. Police received a call regarding a burglary at a vacant home in the 4000 block of Glenhaven Lane. Police found three juvenile boys inside the home. Two 14-year-olds and a 15-year-old were arrested.

ST. ANTHONY

MAY 12

Theft. Officers responded to a report of a theft at Wal-Mart, 3800 Silver Lake Road. Employees had apprehended a 12-year-old girl, a 13-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy for shoplifting. Wal-Mart did not wish to pursue charges, so the juveniles were released to a parent, police said.

MAY 15

Theft. Police said they arrested a 37-year-old woman and her 17-year-old son for shoplifting $284 worth of merchandise from the Wal-Mart at 3800 Silver Lake Road.

RAMSEY

MAY 10

Property damage. Police received a report of vandalism at the fishing pier in Rivers Bend Park, 14201 Waco St. NW. An officer found that someone had removed 45 nuts and washers from the bolts that hold the dock together.
