A man was seriously hurt Tuesday night when he was struck by a vehicle in Shoreview, the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office said.
The accident was under investigation late Tuesday, but it appeared the man "may have been stuck under a car for some time," said spokeswoman Holli Drinkwine, but she did not know for how long.
Emergency crews were called about 8:20 p.m. to Rice and Jerrold Streets, near the border with Roseville.
The man appeared to be on Jerrold when he was hit, Drinkwine said, and was later taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
The Minnesota State Patrol was helping the Sheriff's Office in the investigation, Drinkwine said.
