A 48-year-old man from Waite Park, Minn., will be arraigned Thursday on a charge of selling marijuana after authorities seized 146 pounds of marijuana worth more than $500,000 in a storage shed on Tuesday.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office announced the bust, calling the seizure "high-grade marijuana" that sells for as much as $4,000 a pound.

Working on tips from the Montana State Patrol, the Central Minnesota Drug and Gang Task Force investigated the case for the past two months.

The marijuana, which is believed to have come out of Canada, was shipped into Minnesota from the western United States, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies executed a search warrant at a storage facility in Sartell, Minn., where they found the marijuana, and a mobile home in Waite Park, where they seized more than $22,000 in cash, an assault rifle and a semiautomatic handgun.
