Theft. A vehicle was stolen from the 11300 block of Quincy Street NE. According to police reports, the owner said he had started the vehicle and had gone back into the house to let the dogs in when he heard a car door slam. He saw a younger white male drive off in his 1998 Chrysler Sebring. The owner had left his cell phone in the vehicle, so a search with the global positioning system was done and the vehicle was located unoccupied on the 11200 block of President Street NE.
OCT. 30
Theft. Someone broke a window and stole a shotgun, ammunition and other items from a vehicle parked at the Texas Roadhouse, 2780 Main St. NW.
NOV. 1
Curfew violation. Employees of Super America, 3516 Main St. NW., called police to report that a van had struck a gas pump. Police identified the driver as a 16-year-old boy. He said he did not have a driver's license and had taken the van without his mother's permission, police said. The mother arrived and wanted him charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and curfew violation. The other two passengers, both 15-year-old girls, were cited for curfew violation and released to a parent.
OCT. 31
Theft. A woman reported that she had her wallet stolen while she was shopping at Wal-mart, 8450 University Av. NE. The wallet was in the shopping cart and someone stole it while she was looking at merchandise, the report said.
Disorderly conduct. Police were called to Wal-mart, 8450 University Av. NE., because two women were arguing after one of them did not yield the right of way to the other woman's shopping cart. Store security asked that the women leave the premises. An officer mediated the situation and both women left.
NOV. 5
Drugs. Fridley police assisted the Drug Enforcement Agency and other agencies in stopping a vehicle, suspected of involvement with drug trafficking, on the 6400 block of University Avenue NE. A search of the vehicle turned up more than a kilo of cocaine, the report said. One suspect was turned over to the DEA agents.
WARRANT. Police were called on a report that a male was seeing invisible people stabbing him. The man was arrested on a warrant and for a violation of an order for protection.
OCT. 30
Suspicious activity. Someone called police to the 21400 block of Williamette Street NE. to report two suspicious men. The men were lurking around a back yard in the area and checking windows and doors, the report said. Police found a 32-year-old man and a 38-year-old man. Both had warrants for their arrest. During a search of their vehicle, drugs were found, the report said.
NOV. 3
Robbery. According to police reports, a man entered Plaza Cleaners, 9360 Lexington Av., and demanded money from an employee. The suspect grabbed all the bills and rolls of coins from a drawer, and before fleeing, he said "Have a nice day." The suspect did not brandish a weapon.
NOV. 2
Drugs. Someone called police to report a vehicle off the road on the 3700 block of Silver Lake Road. The caller said the vehicle had been moving erratically, had gone over a curb, onto the sidewalk and stopped in the grass. According to police reports, the driver appeared unconscious and awoke when an officer reached for the keys to the vehicle. The driver, a 30-year-old man, did not have an odor of alcohol and said he did not suffer from a medical condition. According to the report, it was determined he was under the influence of heroin. Syringes and heroin were found inside the vehicle, police said. The man was arrested for fourth-degree controlled substance, failure to obtain a Minnesota driver's license within 60 days of residency, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and expired registration.
