Theft. A purse was stolen from a vehicle on the 14900 block of Drake Street NW. The vehicle windows had been left open.
APRIL 23
Theft. Golf clubs were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 2100 block of 151st Lane NW.
APRIL 15
Theft. A woman had her purse stolen from Lifetime Fitness, 2100 Northdale Blvd. NW. She left her locker open while she took a shower.
APRIL 18
Littering. A sergeant observed a male throw a bike into the creek near Hanson Boulevard and 119th Avenue NW. The sergeant followed the male to the 1700 block of 121st Avenue NW. where an officer stopped him. The 19-year-old man said he was upset after a tire went flat on the bike. The officer made the man go in the creek and retrieve the bike.
Theft. A man called police to report that he had just purchased a water softener and while he was driving near the intersection of Main Street and Coon Creek Boulevard NW., the rear hatch on his SUV opened and the water softener fell out. He said there was too much traffic to stop so he drove through the intersection and then made a U-turn. When he returned, the water softener was gone.
APRIL 18
Animal fight. Police responded to a call of suspicious people with chickens in cages going to a home on the 20200 block of Jackson Street NE. Deputies could hear cheers inside a detached garage when they arrived. There was an open window to the garage and they could see about 30 people gathered around a circle where chickens were fighting. Three men were arrested, and 28 adults and juveniles were identified, photographed and released and will be charged for attending the fight.

APRIL 17
Indecent exposure. An officer observed a female urinating in the parking lot of Baggan's Pub, 3720 E. River Road NE. She was arrested.
APRIL 22
Weapon. An adult student had a knife in his backpack on the grounds of Fridley High School, 6000 West Moore Lake Drive NE. He was arrested.
Animal complaint. Several calls were received that a black bear was in a residential area on the 6900 block of Central Avenue NE. The police aided the DNR and killed the bear for the safety of residents.
APRIL 15
Drunken driving. A deputy observed a vehicle parked on the shoulder of Hwy. 65. A woman was passed out in the vehicle with the engine running. She was arrested.
APRIL 14
Property damage. Someone called police to report property damage on the 3400 block of Highcrest Road. A group of juveniles were seen inside a neighbor's playhouse. When the group left, one of the juveniles was banging on the playhouse shutters. The juveniles were seen entering a nearby home. An officer responded to the address and located four juvenile boys. The suspect was identified as a 15-year-old boy. He was issued a citation for misdemeanor damage to property and released to his father.
APRIL 18
Theft. Police received a call to the St. Anthony Fire Department, 3505 Silver Lake Road, about a man passed out in the back of a cab. The 43-year-old man appeared heavily intoxicated. He said he did not have the $54 for the cab fare, but that he did have a corporate account. The cab company was contacted and said it was familiar with the man and that he does not have an account. The cab company also stated it has had numerous contacts with the man in the past few days and that he had not paid all of his fares. He was issued a citation for misdemeanor theft and transported to the hospital.
