Child neglect. Police received a report at 12:19 p.m. that two minor children might be unsupervised at a home on the 2400 block of Cloud Drive NE. Officers were initially unable to make contact with anyone at the residence. A man arrived at the residence and allowed officers into the home where two children, ages 3 and 7, were located upstairs, in a locked bedroom. No adults were located on the premises and the man said he had not been home since 10 a.m. He was warned not to leave the children alone and a citation was mailed.
JAN. 21
Burglary. Someone broke into a home on the 100 block of Pine Drive and stole money and guns. Entry to the home was made through a basement window.
JAN. 17
Minor consumption. An officer located a male in the backseat of a vehicle on the 40th block of 106th Avenue NW. The vehicle was in violation of a parking ordinance. The man said he was hiding from police because he was drunk and underage. The officer detected the odor of alcohol. He was issued a citation for minor consumption and transported to his home.
Theft. A man reported that a female attempted to steal his car that was parked on the 600 block of 106th Lane NW. He said he left the vehicle unlocked, with the keys in the ignition and the car running. He did not see her in his car, but saw her running away from it. When he got to the vehicle, it had been moved and the keys were gone. He said the parking brake was on and that probably prevented the suspect from driving away.
JAN. 23
Theft. A woman called to report her wallet was stolen from her purse while she was at Rapids Bar and Grill, 133 Coon Rapids Blvd. She claims to have had $1,980 in cash in the wallet, along with gift and bank cards, a credit card and a driver's license.
JAN. 24
Warrant arrest. Police were performing a routine warrant check on the guest register at Live Inn Suites, 5201 Central Av. NE. A female registered guest had an outstanding warrant in Anoka County for alcohol breath-test refusal and was arrested.
JAN. 25
Theft. A vehicle was stolen from the 5800 block of East River Road. The keys were left in the ignition and the vehicle was running.
JAN. 15
Disorderly conduct. Officers were called to McDuff's Eatery and Pub, 16659 St. Francis Blvd. NW., about a fight in progress. Three males were arrested for disorderly conduct and one male was issued a citation for disorderly conduct.
JAN. 24
Accident. A vehicle in the TCF parking lot, 3899 Silver Lake Rd., would not start. The owner attempted to tow it himself, using another vehicle he owned and tying a rope to the bumper on each of the two vehicles. The disabled vehicle was unoccupied. While attempting, the rope came off and the disabled vehicle rolled backward, hitting a parked vehicle. He was issued a citation for reckless driving.
