Teen who died after crash wasn't wearing seat belt

A teenager from Braham, Minn., injured in a motor vehicle crash Friday night in Kanabec County has died, the State Patrol said.

Allen Kelling, 19, suffered a head injury when another car broadsided his vehicle around 10:35 p.m. at the intersection of Hwys. 107 and 70. He died Saturday night at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, the patrol said.

Edward Workman, 18, a passenger in Kelling's vehicle, was not seriously injured, the patrol said.

Brenna Luck, 18, the driver of the vehicle that collided with Kelling's vehicle, was taken to Kanabec County Hospital in Mora, Minn., where she was treated for minor injuries, the patrol said.

Kelling was not wearing a seat belt; Workman and Luck were, the patrol said.
