Body found beneath St. Francis bridge

St. Francis police and the Anoka County Sheriff's Office are investigating the case of a 45-year-old man found dead Thursday afternoon beneath a bridge near the Rum River.

Police responded at 2:30 p.m. to a call of a person lying beneath the bridge, located at the Rum River and Bridge Street in St. Francis, an Anoka County dispatch supervisor said. The man has not been identified, pending family notification.

His body was found near a bicycle.

Authorities said this morning that they are still investigating how the man died.
