The search for a missing 25-year-old Shoreview man continued Thursday.
More than 500 volunteers searched beyond the 15 square miles already covered around Trade Lake Camp, but without success.
Dog teams, officers on horseback, search and rescue teams, helicopters, low-flying planes and thermal-imaging equipment have all been used. Many areas have been searched multiple times.
Keith Kennedy, who is autistic and in need of anti-rejection medication for a kidney transplant he received in 1995, has been missing from the camp, located 7 miles south of Grantsburg, Wis., since Sunday night.
He was last seen wearing a dull orange shirt and blue wind pants. By now, he would have grown a short beard; he has a dark crew cut. He is 140 pounds and 5 feet, 6 inches tall.
According to Burnett County Sheriff Dean Roland, all leads have been exhausted and the search for Kennedy is like "finding a needle in a haystack." He said the search will continue into the weekend.
Anyone interested in joining the search should first call the camp at 1-715-488-2690. Those with information are urged to call 1-715-488-2121.
