Musicians and a narrator will bring to life the children's book "Max Found Two Sticks" when the MacPhail Center for Music sponsors free Family Music Events from 10-11 a.m. and 11 a.m.-noon on Jan. 26.
Through music by Minnesota composer Janika Vandervelde, children will be introduced to orchestra instruments and learn how they make their sound. The audience will also help make music with singing and movement.
Before and after each concert, kids will get a chance to meet the musicians and try the instruments.
