Jasmine, the north metro service dog missing since last Monday, was found after 84 hours on the run.
Hearing and Service Dogs of Minnesota said the deerhound/greyhound mix was recovered about 8 a.m. Friday in the 2600 block of 130th Circle in Coon Rapids near a deer feeder she had been visiting.
Staff members set a live trap with help from a nearby resident to recover the dog.
Two-year-old Jasmine appeared to have only a few scratches and a puncture wound, the service organization said.
She got loose after she had just been placed with a family in Coon Rapids for use by a 17-year-old girl with muscular dystrophy.
"Thank you to Coon Rapids Police Department and to community members who watched, spotted and reported Jasmine's location throughout the week," said Alan Peters, executive director of Hearing and Service Dogs of Minnesota. "We are happy to report that she is safe, and we couldn't have found her without the community's involvement."
