COLUMBUS

AUG. 15

Theft. A 1999 Ford pickup was stolen from a driveway on the 15100 block of Hornsby Street NE. The keys were inside the unlocked vehicle.

EAST BETHEL

AUG. 15

Property damage. A vehicle had its tires flattened and paint scratched at a home on the 200 block of Dogwood Road NE. Someone also put dirt in the mailbox and cut hair off of the pet cat's tail.

FRIDLEY

AUG. 5

Suspicious activity. A man was awakened by two teenage girls throwing toilet paper in the trees at his home on the 400 block of 67th Avenue NE. The girls fled and left their bicycles behind.

AUG. 6

Assisting a family. Officers mediated a dispute between a woman and her 40-year-old son on the 200 block of 61st Avenue NE.

AUG. 7

Suspicious activity. A rustling noise in the backyard was reported on the 1500 block of 73 1/2 Avenue NE. Officers determined it was the neighbor's sprinklers going off.

AUG. 9

Child found. A 5-year-old boy was found unattended in the play area at Burger King, 289 57th Av. NE. It was reported that the boy had been there earlier in the day with other children. An officer took the boy to his home two blocks away. His father didn't know his son had wandered away.

AUG. 12

Property damage. Someone sprayed a fire extinguisher in the window of home on the 16700 block of Hastings Street NE.

AUG. 13

Property damage. Someone sprayed a fire extinguisher inside an unlocked vehicle on the 16900 block of Eveleth Street NE.

MOUNDS VIEW

AUG. 17

Terroristic threats. The Anoka County bomb dog checked the Carmike Wynnsong 15 movie theater at 2430 Hwy. 10 for a bomb. A bomb threat was received at the corporate office saying that nine bombs were planted or going to be planted at one of their theaters. No bomb was found.

Drugs. A 15-year-old boy was arrested for possession of marijuana on the 7600 block of Woodlawn Drive after an officer witnessed a drug transaction. The boy was cited and released to his mother.

AUG. 18

Weapon. A 31-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon at Carmike Wynnsong 15 movie theater, 2430 Hwy. 10. The business has a ban against firearms. Officers recovered a loaded handgun from the man.

AUG. 20

Property damage. Vegetables, plants and a trellis were damaged on the 2600 block of Ridge Lane.

AUG. 21

Theft. An unidentified male stole four burritos from SuperAmerica, 2640 County Rd. I.

AUG. 4

Disorderly conduct. An intoxicated 26-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct at a home on the 13700 block of Dolomite Street NW. after he was found trying to enter a woman's house and car. The woman did not know him. It turned out the man's friends had left him at the bar and he was looking for somewhere to sleep.

AUG. 18

Drunken driving. A 46-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving after she was stopped for speeding on the 17300 block of St. Francis Boulevard NW.

AUG. 22

Disorderly conduct. A 35-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly conduct at a home on the 6200 block of Rivlyn Avenue NW. after the husband reported she was intoxicated and throwing things around the house and attempting to hit him. The woman hit an officer in the chest.
