Anoka-Hennepin School District officials invite community members to participate in an expanded Anti-Bullying/Anti-Harassment Task Force. The group will advise the district as it works to create a positive climate for all students. A task force that worked last year to expand training and update policy language was created from the ranks of district administration. After a recast of the group, its 25 to 30 members also will include students, school staff, parents and community members. The task force will gather for monthly evening meetings, September through May. Its members will submit a report to the school board in the spring of 2013.

Applicants are asked to complete the form available on the district website, www.anoka.k12.mn.us/antibullyTF, or by calling 763-506-1076. Please mail applications to Jennifer Cherry, Title IX/Equity coordinator, Educational Service Center, 2727 N. Ferry St., Anoka, MN 55303-1650, by Aug. 15. Appointees will be notified in September.
