Auto theft. A vehicle was stolen from the 3200 block of NW. 170th Lane.
Theft. A theft from vehicle was reported in the 15200 block of NW. Raven Street.

Theft. A man was arrested after stealing gift cards, value $1,400, from Best Buy.
Threats. A real estate agent for Pulte Homes reported that he sold a house to a couple, but the couple hasn't closed on the sale yet. Now the couple wants out of the agreement, but Pulte Homes will not allow that. The agent told police that the woman gets emotional and makes vague threats while the man states that he cannot control what his girlfriend does.

Theft. A man reported someone tore open a Valentine's Day card that was in his mailbox in the 11200 block of NE. President Drive. Police located the torn letter in the mailbox. The man said a $20 bill was also stolen.

Theft. A man in the 13200 block of NE. Jenkins Street reported that his relatives sent him two Valentine's Day cards and he found both envelopes opened in his mailbox with money missing. He learned from the senders that $5 was in one of the cards.

Auto theft. A man's vehicle was stolen from his garage during the night in the 12000 block of NW. Vintage Street. The man said he may have forgotten to shut the overhead garage door and the keys to the vehicle were in a cupholder in the vehicle.

Theft. Someone stole an American flag and pole, value $45, from a mailbox in the 11600 block of NW. Kumquat Street.
FEB. 12
Theft. An employee at a store in the 3500 block of NW. Main Street reported that a man stole a pack of gum and left in a green van.
FEB. 13
Theft. A man told police that someone entered his Dodge Durango while it was parked in his driveway in the 2500 block of NW. 129th Lane, and stole golf clubs. He said he thought the truck was locked, but he didn't notice forced entry. The man said the clubs were old and worth $10.
FEB. 14
Theft. Someone smashed out the window of a Ford Probe parked in the 10500 block of NW. Quinn Street. The dashboard was also damaged when thieves stole the stereo.
Theft. An employee of Epiphany Pines Assisted Living Facility reported her purse was stolen from beneath her desk. A surveillance video shows a man going under the desk while the woman stepped away, and grabbing the purse, then leaving. The suspect is a potential hiring prospect.

Theft. Four-hundred CDs, value $4,000, were stolen from a vehicle in the 5300 block of Maryland Avenue N.

Theft. Thieves stole copper piping from a work site in the 4100 block of 158th Avenue.
Theft. Two incidents of siphoning gas from vehicles was reported in the 13400 block of NE. Hwy. 65.

Assault. At 4:36 p.m., police were called to the 2600 block of 39th Avenue regarding a fight in the street. Upon arrival, police learned that a 40-year-old man was walking near of 39th Avenue and Coolidge Street, when a driver failed to yield the right-of-way to the pedestrian. The driver, a 50-year-old man, stopped his vehicle and used profanity toward the pedestrian. The pedestrian yelled a profanity back and continued walking. The driver pulled his vehicle over, approached the pedestrian, spit on him and stuck his finger in the pedestrian's eye. The pedestrian attempted to defend himself and a struggle began. The driver told police that the pedestrian initiated the physical assault, but police took a statement from a witness who observed the encounter. She gave a statement similar to the pedestrian's. The driver was arrested and cited for misdemeanor fifth-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
