Child neglect. A Target employee called police to report there was an unattended 3-year-old girl left in a child seat inside a vehicle located in the Target parking lot at 1500 109th Av. NE. Store security paged the owner of the vehicle and within a few minutes, the vehicle owner and the girl's father came out. An officer advised the 46-year-old father about the seriousness of leaving a child unattended in a vehicle. The father said he understood and stated that the girl didn't want to come into the store. The officer told the father that, as a parent, he should do what is best for the child. He also was told that the incident would be reported to child protection.

Theft. Officers responded to the Target at 1500 109th Av. NE. regarding a theft. A woman told police she had left her purse unattended while she was shopping and someone had stolen it.

JAN. 5

Theft. Officers responded to Herberger's, 301 Northtown Drive NE., regarding a theft. A 41-year-old woman told police she had set her purse on the cosmetics counter while she was doing business with the sales clerk and when she had looked back, her purse was gone. She described the purse and its contents to the officer. A short time later the woman called police to report that she had found her purse at home.

Theft. A woman called police to report a theft at Chuck E. Cheese's, 8943 University Av. NE. The woman said someone had stolen a purse that she had left unattended on a table.

Theft. Someone called police to report a theft from a vehicle on the 11000 block of Virginia Avenue. An iPod and a GPS unit were stolen from the vehicle.

JAN. 22

Burglary. Cash reportedly was stolen from a home on the 900 block of Ludwig Avenue.

JAN. 23

Disorderly conduct. Officers responded to the 1100 block of 101st Avenue NW. regarding a disorderly conduct report. A man told officers that someone put feces on the door handle of his vehicle.

FRIDLEY

JAN. 22

Counterfeit money. According to police reports, a guest staying at the LiveInn Suites, 5201 Central Av. NE., brought a pile of counterfeit money to the front desk after finding it in his room. The man said the money fell from the ceiling tiles. The bills were taken as evidence by police.

MOUNDS VIEW

JAN. 14

Drunken driving. Officers found a man passed out in the driver's seat of a running vehicle at Edgewood Drive and Hillview Road. The 22-year-old Mounds View man was arrested for drunken driving.

Disorderly conduct. Police arrested an 11-year-old girl for disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process in the 5100 block of Edgewood Drive. The girl was released to her parent.

JAN. 20

Assault. Police arrested a 12-year-old boy for 5th degree assault and disorderly conduct on the 5100 block of Edgewood Drive.

JAN. 25

Underage drinking. Someone called police to report a loud party at a home on the 2500 block of Mounds View Drive. Officers arrived and broke up what turned out to be an underage drinking party. Seven adults, ages 18-20, and one juvenile were cited for underage consumption of alcohol.

RAMSEY

JAN. 10

Drunken driving. Officers responded to a call regarding a vehicle in a ditch on Nowthen Boulevard and Sunfish Lake Boulevard NW. A 38-year-old Ramsey woman was arrested for drunken driving.
