Authorities expect to release more information Monday about a teenage boy's death at a water park in Brooklyn Park Saturday.

A 17-year-old boy died after he was pulled from the water at the Grand Rios Ramada Hotel and Indoor Water Park about 5 p.m., according to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office. He was pulled from the bottom of a water slide, said sheriff's spokeswoman Lisa Kiava.

The victim was given CPR and taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where he died.

Kiava said Sunday that the Sheriff's Office could not divulge more information about what happened, or safety measures at the park, which bills itself as one of the Midwest's largest indoor water parks.

The victim's identity has not been released.

Water park management did not return a call seeking comment Sunday.
