YOUR GUIDE TO THE TWIN CITIES
A Minneapolis woman was charged Wednesday with pushing her nearly naked ex-girlfriend out of a second-story window. Sharon Adams, 45, was charged in Hennepin County District Court with terroristic threats and domestic assault by strangulation in the alleged attack at Adams' apartment in the 2300 block of Portland Avenue. The victim had non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the charges: On Oct. 19, the victim broke up with Adams. They argued, and the victim tried to phone for help.
Adams strangled the victim with both hands before wrapping an arm around her throat. The victim went to the window and pushed the screen out. Adams punched the victim in the head, and grabbed her by the feet, causing her to topple out of the window head-first.
Two witnesses told police they heard screams for help and saw the victim hanging out of the window. They said Adams punched the victim before throwing her out of the window.
