Minneapolis girl shot by boy might lose sight in eye

Last update: June 15, 2009 - 11:43 PM

A 16-year-old girl may lose sight in one eye after she was shot Monday morning at her Minneapolis home.

A juvenile male brought the gun to her house, on the 3300 block of Dupont Avenue N., said Minneapolis police spokesman Jesse Garcia. Police are investigating whether the shooting was an accident, he said.

The girl was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. The boy was arrested and interviewed by police, but it's unclear whether he will be charged with a crime, Garcia said.
