Feuding occupants in two vehicles got out at an intersection in north Minneapolis and began shooting at each other early Monday, leaving one person dead and another wounded, authorities said.

Callers to 911 reported the gunfire shortly after midnight near 34th and Morgan avenues N., according to police. Officers found a man dead near the intersection, police added.

The man who was wounded was taken in a private vehicle to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale and was expected to survive, police said.

Authorities have yet to reveal the names of the two, nor have police addressed a possible motive. They did say the injured person is 25 years old.

Meanwhile, the Hennepin County medical examiner's office on Monday identified one of the men who was shot and killed late Saturday evening near Franklin and Chicago avenues.

Abdirahman Ahmed Jined, 24, of St. Paul, died from gunshot wounds to the abdomen and chest.
