A 23-year-old man who was shot to death in north Minneapolis over the weekend was identified Tuesday night.
James Henderson Cole, of Minneapolis, died from shotgun wounds to the head, according to a release by the Hennepin County medical examiner's office. His death has been labeled a homicide.
Cole was found in the 3600 block of Humboldt Avenue N. about 9:45 p.m. Sunday, police said. The suspect had fled by the time police arrived.
Nearly 17 hours later, police said a 26-year-old woman also was shot but was expected to survive.
Officers interviewed several people near the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call the police tip line at 612-692-8477.
