One of three closed Minneapolis beaches was reopened Thursday after water samples showed bacteria levels of E. coli had dropped to acceptable levels, a Minneapolis parks spokeswoman said in a release.

The 32nd Street Beach at Lake Calhoun reopened, but Lake Calhoun’s Thomas Beach, closed since Saturday, and Lake Hiawatha Beach, closed on Tuesday, remain closed. Water at those beaches will be retested Monday.

Officials have received no reports of illness from swimmers at any of the beaches.

Updated beach test results are posted on the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board’s website and are available by calling the park board’s beach hot line at 612-313-7713.
