Authorities on Tuesday identified the man who was found shot to death over the weekend in the entry to his north Minneapolis home.

Jerome D. Turner, 35, was discovered at his home in the 1800 block of Hillside Avenue late Saturday by police officers called to the address, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office.

Turner died the next morning at North Memorial Medical Center from a gunshot wound to the abdomen, the medical examiner's office added.

No arrests have been made in his killing, and authorities have yet to reveal what led to the bloodshed, police spokesman John Elder said Tuesday.

Nearby, at a home in the 2000 block of Hillside, 32-year-old Johnathon J. Harris, of Minneapolis, was shot dead on Feb. 20 in his home. Demiteras A. Cooper, 37, of Minneapolis, was charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder in the killing.

The shooter and Cooper's stepson, 20-year-old Dashaunta D. Gomez, of Minneapolis, was arrested last week and charged with killing Harris and being a felon in possession of a gun.
