Ideas on how to redevelop Lowry Avenue NE. in Minneapolis are welcome at an open house Thursday.

The workshop is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Edison High School media room, 700 22nd Av. NE. The session will begin with a brief presentation; then community members can speak up.

The city and county are developing a plan focused on the Lowry Avenue intersections of Marshall, 2nd, Washington and Monroe streets as well as University and Central avenues. Redevelopment ideas for the intersections are sought.

Hennepin County and Minneapolis want input from pedestrians, cyclists and drivers. The project aims to improve bicycle and pedestrian access on existing roads between Marshall Street and Stinson Boulevard.
