Funeral services for Joan Mondale will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Westminster Presbyterian Church in downtown Minneapolis, according to an announcement posted Tuesday on the church website.

Mondale, a leading national arts advocate and the wife of former Vice President Walter Mondale, died Monday at a hospice care center in Minneapolis at age 83. She is survived by her husband, sons Ted and William, and four grandchildren.

Music before the service will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the sanctuary of the church, 1200 Nicollet Mall. The family will host a reception immediately after the service in the lobby of Orchestra Hall, across the street from the church. Parking will be available in the Orchestra Hall ramp.

In a statement released Monday, the former vice president said the family was "grateful for the expressions of love and support we have received. Joan was greatly loved by many. We will miss her dearly."

The service will be livestreamed on the church website, live.worshipchannels.com/WestminsterMPLS. The Mondales are longtime members of Westminster.
