Minneapolis police say they are helping keep traffic away from a southwest Minneapolis neighborhood Wednesday afternoon because of a natural gas leak.
The area involved is near the intersection of 40th Street and Xerxes Avenue S., according to police.
Minneapolis public schools spokeswoman Larissa Chinwah said that Southwest High School was delaying the afternoon release of students "for safety reasons" due to the leak but was not on lockdown.
No other information was immediately available.
