A man broke into a south Minneapolis home and sexually assaulted a woman in what police are calling a stranger attack.

The man entered the home at about 5 a.m. Tuesday near E. 31st Street and and 18th Avenue S. by cutting the screen on an unlocked window, which was covered with plastic, according to police. He remains at large.

The suspect is described as black, with a dark complexion, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build and a goatee. He was wearing a black baseball cap with an unknown symbol, a black letterman jacket with a basketball team designation on the back, and dark baggy jeans.
