Help sought in identifying, finding Minneapolis bank robber

Minneapolis police are seeking the public's help in identifying a dapper armed man who robbed a Guaranty Bank branch inside a Rainbow Foods store at 1540 New Brighton Blvd. just after noon Friday.

The suspect is a 45- to 55-year-old black male with a light complexion. He is approximately 6 feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was wearing a gray hat and a dark blue suit with a white open-collar shirt. His shirts sleeves, with cuff links, extended beyond the jacket sleeves. The suspect was possibly wearing makeup. He was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.

The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. A similar suspect has been described in other metro area bank robberies.
