The city of Minneapolis is seeking 200 volunteers over the next two weekends to clear debris in north Minneapolis from the May 22 tornado.
Two hundreds workers are needed to work four-hour shifts today and next Saturday, June 25. Volunteers can sign up for shifts from 8 a.m. to noon or noon to 4 p.m. each day
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and able to lift at least 40 pounds and should wear thick-soled shoes. Organizers will provide food, work gloves and protective eye gear.

Today's Clean Sweep will clear debris from the area of 44th to 29th Avenues N., from Lyndale to Newton. Next Saturday's effort will cover 29th to 12th Avenues N. from Humboldt to Xerxes.
City officials had declared June 4 as the last organized cleanup day, but debris continues to litter neighborhoods affected by the tornado.
Organizers expect to work with neighborhood groups throughout the summer to determine if additional cleanups are needed.
