The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is warning parents to be on the lookout for tainted Halloween candy.

During a recent narcotics investigation, a county drug task force found potentially dangerous chocolates and caramels laced with THC, a key ingredient found in marijuana.

The chocolates are thick and can be folded into shapes such as hearts and stars. The caramels could be slightly stickier, a news release said Monday.

For more information, call the Sheriff's Office at 612-348-3744.
