Last update: November 4, 2009 - 9:38 PM

A Cottage Grove man pleaded guilty Wednesday to a federal charge of possessing child pornography.

Pang Thao, 40, admitted as part of a plea agreement that on April 30, 2008, he had 142 images and 11 video files on his computer and that they had been sent over the Internet, the U.S. attorney's office said in a statement.

Thao made his plea in Minneapolis in front of U.S. District Judge John Tunheim and will be sentenced later. Thao faces up to 10 years in prison.
