Water ski shows, powerboat races, arts and crafts fair, carnival, family fun run and a tennis tournament will be among the highlights of Hastings' Rivertown Days Festival, which runs Friday through Sunday.
New this year are the dog competitions at the city dock, the Minnesota Zoo Mobile and the youth fishing clinic. On the music stage at Jaycee Park beginning Friday evening, Boogie Wonderland will play from 7-10 p.m. The Big Twang, a country western band, will play from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, followed by the Kurt Jorgensen Band from 7-10 p.m. Fireworks will round out the evening. Dazy Head Mazy, a pop rock band, will play from 1-4 p.m. Sunday.
The Grande Parade will be held at noon Sunday, starting at the corner of 4th and Pleasant Streets and ending at 4th and Eddy. For a complete list of events and times, visit the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce's web site at www.hastingsmn.org/rivertownday.htm.
