A St. Paul woman was injured Tuesday when she sat on an arrow apparently placed intentionally in the driver's side of her vehicle, police said.

The arrow, used for hunting, punctured her skin, requiring the 47-year-old victim to be taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. She was treated and released.

The incident occurred about 8:30 a.m. on Delos Street on the city's West Side.

Police spokesman Sgt. Paul Schnell said that the woman named a possible suspect and raised the possibility that the tip of the arrow had been poisoned. But there were no preliminary signs of poison, he said.

Police are investigating.
