Teenager drowns in Roseville's Lake Josephine

A 16-year-old boy drowned Saturday evening while swimming in Lake Josephine in Roseville.

Ramsey County officials said the incident happened about 7 p.m. A friend saw the teen go under the water. When he didn't resurface, the friend alerted lifeguards, who found the swimmer and administered CPR.

He was taken to Regions Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. His name has not been released pending notification of his family.
