Biker killed after hitting deer

A motorcyclist was killed Thursday night when he struck a deer that was crossing Interstate 694 in White Bear Lake.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the man was riding east on the freeway at White Bear Avenue about 10:50 p.m. when he hit the deer.

The impact threw the rider off his motorcycle, and he was hit by a car that had been following behind. The victim has not been identified.
