Animal complaint. A sick raccoon was reported in the driveway of a home in the 2000 block of Stagecoach Trail. A deputy contacted the complainant, who did not want the animal destroyed. The deputy then contacted a wildlife organization and was advised not to move the animal because it might have rabies. The deputy ended up destroying the raccoon.

BLAINE

JAN. 5

Drugs. Officers responded a report of a suspicious vehicle on the street in the 1500 block of 127th Lane NE. An 18-year-old man was cited for possession of marijuana.

DENMARK TOWNSHIP

JAN. 11

Noise complaint. A person in River Falls, Wis., called to complain that the snow-making equipment at Afton Alps, 6600 Peller Av., was so loud that it could be heard across the river.

FALCON HEIGHTS

JAN. 12

Traffic arrest. Police arrested and cited a woman for driving after revocation, driving without insurance and having a broken brake light in the area of Larpenteur Avenue and Fairview Avenue.

FRIDLEY

JAN. 16

Underage drinking and driving. Officers stopped outside a vehicle parked on the shoulder of a roadway with its hazard lights flashing and found a 17-year-old boy sleeping in the driver's seat. The boy was cited for underage drinking and driving, and released to his parents.

JAN. 17

Drugs. Officers responded to a report at SuperAmerica, 5667 University Av. NE., regarding a 37-year-old man having a panic attack in the store. The man told officers that he was having a negative reaction to marijuana. Paramedics evaluated him and released him, and his marijuana was seized and destroyed.

JAN. 19

Harassment. A woman in the 1600 block of 68th Avenue NE. reported that her soon-to-be ex-husband was sending her rude text messages. She was advised to file for a no-contact order.

MAPLEWOOD

JAN. 12

Traffic arrest. A 39-year-old man was arrested for driving a stolen vehicle in the area of Larpenteur and White Bear avenues. He also was charged with possession of a controlled substance and giving false information to police.

ST. ANTHONY

JAN. 13

Theft. A wallet and cellphone were stolen from a vehicle at Jack and Jill Daycare, 2812 Anthony Lane S. The victim had left the items in her unlocked vehicle while running inside to pick up her children.

JAN. 15

Drugs. A 15-year-old boy was arrested and cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after the items were found in his locker at St. Anthony High School, 3303 33rd Av. NE.

SCANDIA

JAN. 12

Parking complaint. A resident in the 21000 block of Olinda Trail was cited for having a vehicle parked on the street while it was being plowed. When a deputy contacted the man to explain that he was being cited after previous warnings and that his vehicle could be towed if he didn't move it, the man said: "Whose side are you on, mine or theirs?"

WOODBURY

JAN. 11

Noise complaint. Police received a report about an ongoing issue of music blasting in the area of Misty Lane and Palisades Path. An officer followed piano music playing throughout the neighborhood to a home with outdoor speakers. The homeowners said they were unaware that the speakers were on, and agreed to turn them off.
