Theft. Someone stole a drawer that contained 35 bras from Victoria's Secret, 349 Northtown Drive NE. All were priced between $45 and $48.
OCT. 25
Disorderly conduct. Police received a report of six to eight juveniles fighting on the 500 block of 87th Lane NE. Police arrived and learned they were play fighting.
OCT. 28
Theft. A couple, on the 1200 block of 109th Lane NE., received a call from someone claiming to be their granddaughter, stating she was in Canada and needed $2,500 wired from Western Union. The couple believed it was their granddaughter and wired $2,500 via Western Union to Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. The couple later spoke with the granddaughter and found out that it wasn't her who had called.
OCT. 18
Fleeing police. At 1:25 a.m., officers observed a vehicle driving recklessly near Hwy. 280 and Larpenteur. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and the vehicle fled. The vehicle was traveling an estimated 100 mph on side streets with cars parked on both sides. Due to conditions, officers ended the pursuit. Witnesses said a passenger jumped from the vehicle and ran. The area was checked, but the passenger was not found. Officers found the abandoned vehicle parked in the 800 block of 23rd. The owner was contacted and stated that an unknown person took his vehicle while he was at a party.
OCT. 25
Theft. About 40-60 bras were taken from Victoria's Secret, 3001 White Bear Av. The bras were in a drawer near the entrance.
OCT. 26
Theft. An unmarked Ramsey County squad car was broken into while parked in a lot on the 100 block of Century Avenue N. A window was broken and a global positioning system was taken. The glove box was open and the console lid was ajar. A witness reported seeing two men looking through vehicles earlier.
OCT. 11
Suspicious item. A man reported finding a suspicious item near his home on the 900 block of Geneva Avenue. An officer observed a large PVC pip with wires in it and determined it to be a "potato launcher." The item was destroyed.
OCT. 12
Assault. Officers responded to a call about a fight involving 15 men at Rack'em Up Billiards, 7137 10th St. N. One victim had a cut to his head after being hit with a pool cue. Another had a cut on his cheek. A third victim had a swollen arm from being hit with a pool cue. Ten people fled the scene.
Drunken driving. Someone reported a woman unconscious in a vehicle in the parking lot of JW's Bierstube, 7121 10th St. N. Officers found a 24-year-old woman behind the wheel, conscious and with the door open. A strong odor of alcohol was on her breath and she admitted to having a "few drinks" at JW's Bierstube. She failed a preliminary breath test and was arrested.
OCT. 13
Careless driving. Someone reported a white Lincoln was all over the road and had driven in the ditch and median near 9th Street N. and Inwood Avenue. The driver was found and said she couldn't see because of steamed windows. The officer showed her how to speed up her windshield washers and defroster.
OCT. 24
Forgery. Officers received a call to Wal-Mart, 3800 Silver Lake Road, regarding counterfeit money that was received. A 20-year-old male and a 20-year-old female purchased merchandise and paid with six $100 bills the previous day. It was determined that the bills were counterfeit. The two suspects were making other purchases in the metro area using the counterfeit money and would return the merchandise at another store for cash.
OCT. 30
Theft. Seven people had either their vehicles damaged or items stolen from their vehicles parked in an apartment building parking area on the 3900 block of Foss Road.
OCT. 29
Burglary. Sometime between Oct. 25 and Oct. 29, someone broke into a garage in the 1300 block of Arkwright Street. Tools and fishing equipment were taken, said the homeowner, who had yet to compile a full list of stolen items.
OCT. 30
Investigate. Officers patrolling near Dayton's Bluff Elementary School came upon a 3-year-old boy walking on a sidewalk alone, police said. The boy apparently had left his house about 11 a.m. after his mother fell asleep on the couch, and was on his way to visit siblings at the school. The mother said that she thought she had locked the door. The case was referred to child protection services.
OCT. 31
Aggravated robbery. Three juveniles were arrested after they allegedly robbed a mentally disabled teenager on the city's East Side. The victim, 18, was confronted by the boys, one of whom brandished a BB gun, as he walked home from a convenience store about 10:15 p.m. The suspects, wearing bandanas over their faces, stole an electronic item, $3 in cash and some Halloween candy from the victim. He was not injured. Police arrested the suspects a short distance away.
NOV. 2
Disturbance. Police arrested two men who were among as many as 20 people fighting at the West Side Grocery, 466 S. Robert St., police said. When police arrived about 5:25 p.m., an officer displayed a Taser, warning the combatants to end the fight. The two suspects continued to struggle, police said. Police tasered the second man, forcing him to sit down, and the first man to release him. The suspects were jailed for disorderly conduct.
