WHO CAN VOTE BY ABSENTEE BALLOT?

Minnesota residents can cast an absentee vote, in person or by mail, if they:

• Are absent from their precinct on Election Day

• Have an illness or disability

• Serve as an election judge in another precinct

• Have a conflict with a religious holiday or observance

Applications to vote absentee are available on the Web or in person at city halls and county auditor offices.

After returning the application, residents can vote by mail or vote in person. Their ballots are sent to the voters' precincts on Nov. 4, where they are counted.
