Identification theft. Someone in the 400 block of Birchwood Court reported being informed by the IRS that someone filed taxes in their name.

APRIL 17

Neighbor complaint. A woman in the 14000 block of Forest Boulevard was cited for disorderly conduct for yelling at a neighbor's dog that was outside barking.

APRIL 18

Turkey hunting questions. A hunting blind was reported in a field near a residence in the 4000 block of Rosemary Way. Authorities checked on the blind and determined it was an ordinance violation by being within 500 feet of the residence. The complainant was advised to contact the Sheriff's Department if they see anyone close to, or in, the blind.

APRIL 21

Railroad concern. The railroad crossing signal at Keystone Avenue and 119th Street was reported malfunctioning. The railroad was notified of the problem.

LAKE ELMO

APRIL 17

Stop sign concern. A stop sign was reported turned around at the intersection of 60th and Keats Avenue. Public Works was notified.

APRIL 19

Suspicious activity. Three males and a female were reported walking around a property in the area of Hudson Road and Keats Avenue. A deputy made contact with the group who said they were there because it looked scary. They were advised to leave as the property has many hazards, including broken glass.

APRIL 21

Suspicious activity. A male waving a flag near a pond was reported on property in the area of 50th Street and Hwy. 5. Authorities were unable to locate the male.

MAHTOMEDI

APRIL 21

Animal concern. Someone reported a raccoon stuck in a sewer drain in the area of Juniper Street and Summit Avenue. Public Works was notified but the caller was also advised the raccoon can probably get out on its own.

OAK PARK HEIGHTS

APRIL 18

Assist other agency/Animal concern. A deputy checked on a report of a large, aggressive beaver walking through the Wal-Mart parking lot, 5815 Norell Ave. The deputy saw the animal and, rather than being aggressive, thought it appeared on a mission to get to some nearby woods.

SCANDIA

APRIL 18

Lewd activity. A couple were caught in a compromising position in a parked car in the lot at Wind of the Pines Park, 22199 St. Croix Tr. They were polite and cooperative when a deputy advised them of their poor location choice.

APRIL 21

Animal concern. A bird feeder was reported knocked down in the 15000 block of 220th Street and the complainant thought it may have been done by a bear. They were advised to contact the DNR if the problem persists.

WOODBURY

APRIL 14

Suspicious situation. A resident on Stony Creek Drive called police because they believed someone was going through their trash before garbage pickup and attempting to steal personal information. The complainant noticed this had happened several times in the last four months while their neighbor's trash remained untouched.

Animal concern. A man in the 800 block of Moonlight Drive reported snakes on his property and wondered what he could do about them.

APRIL 17

Suspicious activity. Several men were reported going door to door in the 8600 block of Quarry Ridge Lane asking questions and giving away air fresheners. The men reportedly knocked on doors with Soliciting Prohibited signs and were not displaying credentials.
