BLAINE

AUG. 29

Theft. A woman reported that her Coach purse was stolen from her unlocked vehicle on the 4300 block of Pheasant Ridge Drive NE.

Theft. Employee at the Holiday Gas Station at 4167 Ball Road NE. reported that a vehicle pumped $10.01 worth of gas and drove off without paying. The license number was obtained and an officer made contact with the owner. The owner stated that his son was driving the vehicle but he would have someone go pay for the gas. The bill was eventually paid.

AUG. 30

Burglary. Someone forced entry into an attached garage through a service door on the 3900 block of 99th Lane NE. The resident was home sleeping at the time. The service door had damage and three beers and a box of wine were stolen.

HASTINGS

SEPT. 9

Property damage. A rear window of a car was smashed on the 3900 block of Shannon Drive. The vehicle was parked on the street.

Property damage. Someone smashed the rear window of a vehicle on the 3800 block of Shannon Drive. The vehicle was parked in the driveway.

SEPT. 12

Theft. Mailboxes and the posts that held them were stolen from two homes on the 1800 block of Oak Street.

MAPLEWOOD

SEPT. 12

Theft. Two vehicles parked in a driveway on the 1600 block of Burke Avenue were entered. A woman's diamond engagement ring, women's golf clubs, a laptop computer, an iPod and a baseball bat were stolen.

Theft. Two juvenile boys asked to look at a video game at Toy-Riffic, 2855 White Bear Av. While the employee was waiting on another customer, the two suspects left the store with the game.

SEPT. 15

Theft. Someone stole copper and brass manifolds attached to a furnace from a construction site on the 1600 block of Woodlynn Avenue. The gas and copper wiring were cut from the wall to the furnace.

OAKDALE

AUG. 19

Suspicious vehicle. A report of a vehicle parked in front of a home on the 6300 block of Upper 44th Street Court N. for 15 minutes and no one had gotten out. An officer located the vehicle and questioned the occupant. The occupant of the vehicle said he was waiting for the resident to get home for a group bible study. The resident did arrive home while the officer was there.

AUG. 21

Theft. A gold and brown Chevrolet Tahoe has been used by a white male in his early 20s to do $597.68 in gas drive-offs from Fleet Farm, 5635 Hadley Av. The suspect has used at least four stolen plates.

AUG. 23

Assault. A woman reported that her female neighbor, from an apartment building located on the 6000 block of Upper 51st Street N., sprayed orange-scented air freshener into her face from approximately six inches away. The victim had placed a doctor's note under the suspect's door a day earlier stating that she is allergic to the orange air freshener and it causes breathing problems. The suspect was arrested.

AUG. 25

Mischief. Someone placed lawn ornaments in a front yard on the 6500 block of 7th Street N. There were 37 miscellaneous statues, gnomes, globes, etc., that were displayed neatly in the yard.

ST. PAUL

SEPT. 3

Rescue. Firefighters rescued an infant that was accidentally locked in the bathroom of a home on the 400 block of Pierce Street.

Fire. Residents were awakened by a smoke detector inside their burning duplex on the 1000 block of Churchill Street. An unattended candle was the likely cause of the fire. Damage was estimated at $25,000.

SEPT. 8

Fire. Firefighters rescued a dog from a duplex fire caused by an improperly vented clothes dryer on the 1000 block of Woodbridge Street. Damage was estimated at $15,000.
