A federal grand jury has indicted four men, including a man who worked at the Minnesota State Fair, in the August robbery of a State Fair beer exhibit.
Antonio Terrell Washington, Jordan Denzel Strickland, Eligah Vernell Branson and Jarret Maiden were indicted on one count of interference with commerce by robbery. Washington and Strickland were indicted on an additional count of use of a firearm during a crime of violence.
Maiden worked at the Minnesota Craft Brewers Exhibit in the fair's agriculture building. Authorities say Washington and Strickland robbed it around 11 p.m. on Aug. 29, when the exhibit was closed for the night and an employee was counting the day's proceeds. The two armed men got away with $104,000 — the day's sales from the brewers exhibit and a nearby wine exhibit.
Officials later interviewed Maiden, 35, who they said admitted that he saw an opportunity to rob the exhibit. Branson's alleged role was unclear.
