BIRCHWOOD

JULY 18

Theft. Golf equipment and power tools were stolen from the bed of a truck in the 100 block of Wildwood Avenue.

DENMARK TOWNSHIP

JULY 19

Fishing complaint. Six men were reported fishing after Point Douglas Park, 10191 St. Croix Trail, had closed. A deputy asked them to leave and they did.

GRANT

JULY 24

Incident. Two hunters reported seeing someone from a dark colored pickup rattling the lock of a gate to a farm in the 9000 block of Dellwood Road and trying to break in.

HUGO

JULY 20

Suspicious activity. A deputy instructed a group of juveniles to stop playing in and around two homes under construction in the 6000 block of 145th Circle.

LAKE ELMO

JULY 18

Animal concern. The Sheriff’s Department took a complaint of horse excrement in the parking lot of Sunfish Lake Park, Kelvin Ave.

Animal concern. A dog was reported in a vehicle with its windows closed and no water for 20 minutes at Lake Elmo Park Reserve, 1515 Keats Ave. A deputy located the owner and advised her of the dangers of keeping a dog in a closed vehicle. She left the park soon after.

JULY 19

Suspicious activity. A deputy checked on a group of juveniles who had been reported smoking and possibly drinking alcohol near the pool at Cimarron Park Golf Course, 901 Lake Elmo Ave. No one from the group was drinking but one of them, of legal age, said he’d been smoking an e-cigarette. He was advised it was prohibited in that area.
