GRANT

JULY 13

Suspicious activity. A resident in the 9000 block of 75th Street had authorities check her house after she arrived home to find a security light flashing. Nothing out of the ordinary was found.

LAKE ELMO

JULY 12

Suspicious activity. A group of people were reported taking down a tent in the parking lot of the Lake Elmo Fire Hall, 3510 Laverne Ave. A deputy investigated and found nothing suspicious, just a business group taking down their tent.

LAKELAND

JULY 14

Suspicious activity. Solar lights from a home in the 16000 block of 1st Street were removed from the driveway and thrown into the street. The homeowner asked for extra patrols in the area.

MAHTOMEDI

JULY 16

Suspicious activity. A man reportedly came to the door of a home in the 300 block of Jesse James Lane and accused the homeowner of setting animal traps. The homeowner had no idea what he was talking about and asked him to leave. He did.

JULY 17

Public works complaint. A resident near Frankland Street and Glenmar Avenue called the Sheriff’s Department shortly after 8 p.m. to complain about noisy street sweepers. She wanted their hours changed.

OAKDALE

JULY 12

Ordinance violation. Police received a call from someone in the 2500 block of Hamlet Avenue complaining about their neighbor having four to six garage sales this year, including one that was currently taking place. An officer spoke to the neighbor who said this will be her last garage sale.
