What: The Minnesota Historical Society launched the Minnesota's Greatest Generation Project in August 2005, marking the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II. The largest, single project for the Historical Society, it is a four-year campaign to document the lives and legacy of Minnesotans born between 1910 and 1929.

When/where: The project culminates with the opening of a 6,000 square-foot exhibit on May 23 at the Minnesota History Center, 345 Kellogg Blvd. W. in St. Paul.
