There are no state Senate seats in contention this year, but voters will be electing new legislators to the House of Representatives.
38A: Includes an area from south of Hugo to south of Forest Lake. Incumbent Linda Runbeck, R-Circle Pines, faces Jim Davern, a DFLer from Circle Pines.
38B: Includes the city of Dellwood and extends south and west of Hugo. Incumbent Matt Dean, R-Dellwood, faces Greg M. Pariseau, a White Bear Lake DFLer.
39A: Includes Forest Lake, Scandia, Marine on St. Croix, May Township and part of Stillwater. Incumbent Bob Dettmer, R-Forest Lake, will run against DFLer Tim Stender of Forest Lake.
39B: Includes Stillwater, Oak Park Heights, Bayport, West Lakeland Township, Lakeland, Lakeland Shores, Lake St. Croix Beach and St. Marys Point. Incumbent Kathy Lohmer, R-Stillwater, will face Lake Elmo DFLer Tom DeGree.
43A: Includes Mahtomedi, Willernie and the area east of White Bear Lake. Incumbent Peter Fischer, DFL-Maplewood, is challenged by Stacey Stout, a Mahtomedi Republican.
43B: Includes Oakdale and parts of North St. Paul and Maplewood. Incumbent Leon Lillie, DFL-North St. Paul, squares off against Oakdale Republican Justice B. Whitethorn.
53A: Includes the western portion of Woodbury, part of Oakdale and Landfall. Incumbent JoAnn Ward, DFL-Woodbury, is challenged by Lukas Czech, a Woodbury Republican.
53B: Includes the eastern and southern portions of Woodbury. The incumbent, Andrea Kieffer, R-Woodbury, is not running again. The candidates are Republican Kelly Fenton of Woodbury, and DFLer Kay Hendrikson, also of Woodbury.
54A: Includes Cottage Grove, St. Paul Park, Newport and Grey Cloud Island Township. Incumbent Dan Schoen, DFL-St. Paul Park, will face Matthew Kowalski of Cottage Grove.
54B: Includes Afton, Denmark Township and a portion of Cottage Grove. Incumbent Denny McNamara, R-Hastings, is challenged by Hastings DFLer Donald Slaten.
