Found item. A resident in the 15000 block of Everton Avenue reported finding four golf balls in his yard. Concerned about someone hitting into his yard, he wanted the incident documented.

JUNE 6

Suspicious activity. A man was reported yelling in a yard in the 600 block of Cimarron. The caller thought he might be on drugs. A deputy contacted the man who had been rapping while barbecuing. He agreed to keep it down.

MAHTOMEDI

JUNE 5

Suspicious activity. Someone reported a front loader removing multiple trees in the 1000 block of Summit Avenue. It was determined Mahtomedi Public Works was clearing trees from the roadway.

MAY TOWNSHIP

JUNE 7

Possible trespassing. Three men were reported going in and out of a home in the 12000 block of Riverview Trail. The men were hired to paint the interior of the home.

OAKDALE

JUNE 3

Helicopter complaint. A resident in the 5600 block of Hadley Avenue reported a helicopter flying recklessly near their roof and pool. An officer informed the caller the helicopter was being used for mosquito control. The complainant responded that it should fly different patterns.

JUNE 4

Disturbance. An officer was dispatched to the 4100 block of Gershwin Avenue on a report of people making noise while playing basketball at 1:25 a.m. The officer spoke to someone who said he and his friends had just finished a basketball game and would go in for the night.

Animal complaint. Two coyotes were reported stalking pets and killing wildlife in the 6700 block of 36th Street. The caller said the coyotes did not respond to him yelling at them. An officer advised the caller and his neighbors not to fill their bird feeders because that might be attracting animals.

JUNE 5

Passing violation. A man reported that while walking in the 2000 block of Geneva, a vehicle passed another vehicle on the shoulder when the lead vehicle was making a left-hand turn. The complainant was concerned that too many vehicles are passing on the shoulder and creating a hazard for pedestrians.

JUNE 8

Check welfare. Two bicyclists were reported riding on Interstate 694 near Hwy. 5. An officer located the cyclists, from Brazil, who told him they were lost and following their GPS. The officer provided them with directions and advised them to stay off the interstate.

SCANDIA

JUNE 8

Suspicious activity/Vandalism. A cattle gate was taken off its hinges and laid on a fence in the 15000 block of Scandia Trail.

WEST LAKELAND TOWNSHIP

JUNE 6

Animal complaint. A deputy removed a bull snake from a garage in the 1000 block of Omaha Avenue. The snake was released in a nearby field.

WOODBURY

JUNE 5

Suspicious activity. An officer observed an unoccupied vehicle parked at the city well house in the area of Lake Road and Torrey Lane. The owner emerged from the nearby woods and explained he was hunting morel mushrooms. He was advised to park elsewhere.
