APRIL 11

Dine and dash. A male and female diner left the Sail Away Cafe, 3121 St. Croix Trail, without paying their bill. While a deputy was on scene they returned to their table outside the restaurant and explained they had decided to take a walk by the marina and had no intention of not paying. They were apologetic about the misunderstanding and paid in full.

APRIL 18

Suspicious activity. Authorities were called about a possible intruder inside a home in the 2000 block of Neal Avenue. The complainant later discovered it was his brother messing with him by pretending to be an intruder.

APRIL 17

Animal concern. A bird flew into a window in the 5000 block of Farnham Drive. The complainant called the Raptor Center, which sent someone to pick up the injured bird.

APRIL 20

Noise complaint. A deputy was dispatched to the area of 4th and Dellwood Avenues on a report of loud drumming. About 20 people were there wearing costumes and playing instruments. They told the deputy they were celebrating Mexican Easter and had one more song to play.

APRIL 14

Male drinking alcohol. An officer made contact with a man in a parked car at Century College, 3300 Century Ave., who had been reported drinking in the vehicle. The man had an open, almost full bottle of alcohol in his possession and admitted to drinking a little because he was nervous about a test. He registered a 0.01 percent on a breath test. He was advised Century College is a dry campus and to come up with an alternative coping strategy the next time he feels this way.

APRIL 13

Noise complaint. A resident in the area of Quail and Queens Ways reported someone on a four-wheeler driving recklessly and loudly behind their property. A deputy said an extra patrol would be sent to the area to monitor the situation.
