MARCH 31

Neighbor dispute. A resident in the 500 block of Gentry Avenue told police his neighbors are harassing him and put a sign in their window facing his house that says “stop harassing our family.” An officer contacted one of the neighbors who said the complainant is constantly harassing them by shining a red laser into their windows. The neighbor agreed to take the sign down if the complainant, who denied shining the laser, will cease his behavior.

Special checks. A man reported consistently finding empty half-pint bottles of Black Velvet for the past three years on the west side of Gershwin Avenue between 45th and 47th Streets. He didn’t know where the bottles were coming from and requested a special patrol for the area.

Animal complaint. Police received a report from someone in the 1100 block of Greystone Avenue complaining about a herd of deer that keep going through back yards in the area. She was advised to consult a private pest control company.

Truck stuck in mud. Police responded to a report of a truck stuck in mud and revving its engine in the 3500 block of Bailey Ridge Alcove. The truck’s owner told police he wanted to go off-roading and got stuck on the public works road. He was advised access roads are intended for public works only and he could be charged with damage to property if he decided to off-road on city property in the future. AAA came and pulled the truck from the mud.
