MARCH 6

Squad car towed. A Sheriff’s Department squad car became stuck in a driveway snowbank in the 13000 block of 122nd Street. A tow truck was called to get the car out of the snowbank.

Fire. A cat house in the front yard of a home in the 6000 block of Manning Ave­nue was reported on fire. The Stillwater Fire Department extinguished the fire; no cats were harmed. The fire was caused by wiring in a heating pad inside the structure.

LAKE ST. CROIX BEACH

MARCH 8

Suspicious person. A man in a red floppy hat and yellow-green vest was reported going house to house in the 16000 block of 18th Street asking for access to homeowner’s attics. A deputy located the man, who was legitimately selling roof insulation.

Suspicious activity. Someone in the 700 block of Park Avenue reported footprints around their vehicle after an overnight snowfall.

Suspicious activity. Two boots sticking out of a snowbank were reported in the 100 block of Hickory Street. The caller said that if it was meant as a joke, they did not think it was funny.

MARINE ON ST. CROIX

Suspicious situation. A woman described as confused and having a hard time following easy driving directions was reported after she stopped in the Marine General Store, 101 Judd St., asking for directions.
